Every solution we offer has been custom designed to fully meet the heating requirements of our clients.

Underfloor heating is one of the oldest forms of heat distribution system used in buildings. It is well known that the Romans used warm air to distribute heat through the floors of their bathhouses and other buildings.

Although installation of underfloor heating is slightly more expensive than conventional radiators – the benefits far outweigh the costs. It has been shown that underfloor heating can offer savings of 15 – 25% on the household-heating bill. All floor space is usable and there are no unsightly – potentially hot surfaces and/or hot spots/cold areas in the room. Underfloor heating is ideal with the installation of a heat pump as the optimum economic operation of a heat pump produces water with a temperature of between 35 and 40 degrees.

Circulation of dust and dust mites is reduced

*************************

The circulation of dust and dust mites is reduced. The moisture content of the room is too low to support house dust mites. With the lower temperature of the underfloor heating – typically no warmer than the palm of your hand versus the higher temperature of radiators - it makes for greater safety and comfort for the oldest and youngest of us.

Quality Thermostats

*************************

Good quality thermostats are the heart of a properly designed underfloor heating system. Each zone – usually one per room has an adjustable thermostat. These can be set at the desired temperature (approx 20 degrees C). The thermostat ‘ calls ‘ to provide heat only when needed thus saving on energy costs.

Is Underfloor Heating suitable for all floor types

*************************

Tiles/stone floors heat up the quickest and give the fastest response time but timber floors whether solid or floating are equally compatible with underfloor heating. They just take a little longer to heat up. Installation of timber floors needs to be done with a certain amount of care and attention. Carpet is also very popular and comfortable with underfloor heating.
